LUELLA ENGER, age 85, of Luverne, died Thursday, March 21, 2013, at the Mary Jane Brown Good Samaritan Center in Luverne.  She was born October 13, 1927, in Norton Township, Winona County, MN to Fred and Catherina (Von Glahn) Funck.   She attended country schools in Pipestone and Rock County.
Luella married Kermit Enger on September 5, 1954, in Kenneth.  After their marriage they lived in Hardwick for about ten years.  They moved to a farm west of Hardwick and Luella lived there until she moved to Luverne in 1998.  She moved to the Mary Jane Brown Good Samaritan Center on February 26, 2013.
She was a member of the Blue Mound, Kenneth and most recently Grace Lutheran Churches.  She was always very active and served in many positions in the churches.  She was a member of the Hardwick PTA where she served as secretary.
She enjoyed embroidering, making rugs, reading, gardening and watching wildlife in her back yard.  She especially enjoyed spending time with her family.
Luella is survived by her four daughters, Karoline Enger, Millbrae, CA; Laurelynn Enger, Edina, MN; Margaret Enger, Chicago, IL; Joycelyn (John) Lindgren, Bloomington, MN; two grandchildren, Krista and Erik Lindgren; two sisters, Myrna (Don) Spease, Luverne; Linda (Stan) Halverson, Alexandria; brother, Gordon (Mary) Funck, Sun City, AZ; sister-in-law, Katherine Franklin, Luverne.
She was preceded in death by her parents, brother Rudolf, sister Alma Kitchenmaster, sisters-in-law LaVon Funck, Gertrude Kuhl, brother-in-law, Wesley Kitchenmaster and former husband, Kermit Enger.
