MAGDALEN MARGARET (MAGGIE) OSTERMANN, age 94, of Worthington, died Friday, February 4, 2011 at her home. She was born January 7, 1917 in LaCrosse Township, Jackson County, MN; to her parents, Fred P. and Lena (Haberman) Haberman. Maggie was baptized in January of 1917 in the Catholic Faith and confirmed in 1929. She attended country school in District #86 in Alba Township, Jackson County, MN; and received a 12th grade education and attended beauty school in Mankato, MN. Maggie was united in marriage to H.G. (Chic) Ostermann on February 10, 1944 in Luverne, MN. They made their home in Worthington and she was a beautician and owner with her husband of ?Chic?s? Bar in downtown Worthington, She also did clerical work at Ahlf Drug for sixteen years. She was a member of St. Mary?s Catholic Church in Worthington. Maggie enjoyed all sports, flower and vegetable gardening, following the family activities and she especially enjoyed her home. Maggie is survived by her nephew and wife, Jim and Angie Mixner, Worthington; nieces and husband, Dianee Klopp, Richfield, MN; and Sharon and Lyle Peters, Bloomington, MN; three great nieces and husbands; two great-great nieces and three great-great nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Chic Ostermann and one sister, Mable Mixner. Memorials are preferred to the American Cancer Society or American Heart Association.
