MARGARET A. (BOHLKE) BEELNER, age 94, of Fulda, formerly of Worthington, died Monday, September 17, 2012 at Maple Lawn Nursing Home, in Fulda. She was born April 4, 1918, in Granville, IA to parents, William and Mary (Schneiders) Bohlke. She attended school at St. Joseph Catholic School in Granville.
Margaret was united in marriage to Arnold "Arnie" Beelner on November 26, 1941. In November, they celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary. After their marriage the couple lived near Remsen until 1948. They moved to a farm on the north side of Round Lake until 1960, when they moved to a farm northwest of Round Lake. The couple then moved to Worthington in 1976. Margaret moved to Maple Lawn Nursing Home in Fulda in October of 2009.
She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Worthington, WCCW and the Worthington hospital auxiliary. She enjoyed playing in many cards clubs, baking and cooking and especially spending time with her family.
Margaret is survived by her four daughters, Judith (Dale) Barringer, Holstein, IA; Joyce Ricke, Remsen, IA; Barbara (Bill) Nevin, Shakopee; Mary Kretz, Worthington; eight grandchildren, three step grandchildren, nineteen great grandchildren, one step great grandchild; brothers, Dan (Mary) Bohlke, Marshalltown, IA; one sister, Delores Colling, Spencer, IA; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Arnie on July 13, 2012, infant son, son-in-law, Tom Kretz; one sister, Maebelle Kinney and two brothers, Ed and James Bohlke.
