MARGARET ANN PICK, age 88, of Luverne, died Saturday, October 4, 2008, at the Sanford Hospice Cottage, in Luverne. She was born on June 12, 1920, in rural Lismore, to John Peter and Anna (Krips) Gleis. She attended St. Anthony Catholic School, in Lismore. Margaret married Raphael ?Ray? Pick on June 19, 1945, at St. Anthony Catholic Church, in Lismore. After their marriage, the couple farmed north of Lismore. In March of 1957, they moved north of Kenneth where they farmed until 1986. Margaret & Ray owned the Kenneth Bar from 1980 to 1992 until they fully retired in Kenneth. Ray died on July 29, 2002. Margaret moved to the Centennial Apartments, in Luverne, in January of 2003. She was a member of St. Catherine Catholic Church, in Luverne; and a former member of St. Anthony Catholic Church, in Lismore. Margaret was also a member of the WCCW; the Catholic Daughters of America; the American Legion Auxiliary Unit #32 of Adrian; and the Luverne Senior Citizens. She enjoyed baking, crocheting, sewing, fishing, gardening, canning and playing cards & bingo. She loved spending time with all of her friends especially those from the Centennial Apartments & the Senior Citizens Center. Margaret is survived by her five children and their spouses, Gerald ?Jerry? & Margaret M. Pick, Luverne; Dennis & Deanna Pick, Kenneth; Linda & Gerald Schmuck, Gulfport, MS; Dale & Lori Pick, Luverne; and Diane & Dennis Strassburg, Magnolia; fourteen grandchildren, Joseph, Mark, Tom, Scott, Steven, Kevin, Jared, Jami, Kim, Bradley, Teresa, Joleen, Brian & Michael; thirteen great grandchildren; two brothers, Leo Gleis, Tustin, CA; and twin brother, Nick Gleis, Adrian; and two sisters, Marie Gleis, Luverne; and Rose (Roman) Heinzman, Longview, WA. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ray Pick; and a brother, John Gleis.
