MARGARET MARY WIENEKE, age 93, of Lismore, died Friday, May 24, 2013, at the Sanford Hospice Cottage in Luverne. She was born June 10, 1919, in Adrian, to William and Elizabeth (Dorn) Suedkamp. She graduated from St. Adrian Catholic High School.
Margaret married Vincent Wieneke on November 25, 1947, at St. Adrian Catholic Church. After their marriage, the couple farmed southwest of Lismore. In 1977, they retired and moved into Lismore. Margaret was a homemaker and worked as a teacher's aid at the St. Anthony Elementary School in Lismore.
She was active member of St. Anthony Catholic Church in Lismore; and the WCCW. She enjoyed baking and spending time with her family. Church was very important to Margaret. She cherished her relationship with her Lord.
Margaret is survived by her two children, Mark (Brigitte) Wieneke, Luverne; and Jane Wieneke, Luverne; two grandchildren, Astrid (John) Rittenhouse, Luverne; and Magie Wieneke, Luverne; and two great grandchildren, Nicholas Rittenhouse, United States Air Force, Grand Forks, ND; and Melanie Rittenhouse, Luverne.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Vince, on May 25, 2012; son, Scott Wieneke; daughter, Ann Wieneke; three brothers, John, Clem & George Suedkamp; and five sisters, Elizabeth Nytes, Emma Lenz, Phil Luettel, Agnus Suedkamp & Marie Suedkamp.
Visitation will be from 5-8 pm Monday, with a rosary service at 6 pm & parish prayers at 7 pm, at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Lismore. Visitation also one hour prior to the service at the church on Tuesday. Funeral will be 10:30 am Tuesday at St. Anthony Catholic Church officiated by Fr. Andrew Beerman & Fr. Thomas Jennings. Burial will be in the St. Anthony Cemetery.
