MARIA MICHELLE MACIEJACK, age 59, of Canby, MN, died July 9, 2023, at the Sunset Cottage in Worthington. She was born May 14, 1964, in Chandler, AZ to Charles and Louise (Janiszeski) Gary. She graduated from Chandler High School in 1980.

Maria married Eugene Maciejack in 1984 and the couple were blessed with a son named Justin Andrew in 1987. They later divorced and Maria eventually made her way to Canby, Minnesota to help care for her grandmother, Sophie Janiszeski.

While in Canby, Maria worked for Schott Corporation, Universal Forest Products, Sioux Valley Health/Nursing Home and Minneota Manor. She enjoyed reading, cooking, caring for animals and her flowers. Some of Maria's favorite memories include her son's birth, graduation and marriage, living on her acreage, and the birth of her grandson.

Maria is survived by her father, Charles Gary, Forsyth, MT; two brothers, Douglas Gary, Sioux Falls, SD; John Gary, Miles City, MT; son, Justin (Leanne) Maciejack, and grandson, Rayce Maciejack, Hills, MN.

She was preceded in death by her grandmother; Sophie Janizeski, and mother; Louise Gary.

A private family service will be held at a later date.
