MARIE CECELIA GLEIS, age 95, of Luverne, died Wednesday, January 2, 2019, at her home at the RAI House in Luverne. She was born May 12, 1923, in rural Lismore, to John and Anna (Krips) Gleis. She lived at home until the death of her parents. She then moved to Lismore. Marie later moved to Luverne where she lived the rest of her days.

She was a former member of St. Anthony Catholic Church in Lismore and a current member of St. Catherine Catholic Church in Luverne. When her health began to fail, Marie was very lucky to live at RAI. She began working at RCO in May of 1987. She loved to work on syringes. She enjoyed bowling, Special Olympics, friendship club, and going out with people to see the countryside.

Marie is survived by several nieces & nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, John, Leo and Nick Gleis; and two sisters, Margaret Pick and Rose Heinzman.

Visitation will be Friday from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at St. Catherine Catholic Church in Luverne.  Mass of Christian Burial will be at 1:00 PM Friday at St. Catherine Catholic Church.  Burial will be at St. Anthony Catholic Cemetery in Lismore.
