MARILYN M. McMAHON, age 77, of Worthington, died Wednesday, May 21, 2014, at the Sanford Worthington Medical Center. She was born October 17, 1936 in New Ulm, MN to her parents Adolph and Rose (Deutsch) Mueller. Marilyn was raised in Fairmont, MN, graduating from Fairmont High School in 1954. After graduation, she worked for Northwest Airlines and KSUM radio in Fairmont.
Marilyn was united in marriage to Dale McMahon on May 16, 1959 at St. John Vianney Catholic Church in Fairmont. After their marriage, they lived in Jackson, MN for a short time before moving to Wells, MN. There she raised her three sons and worked for State Farm Insurance. She was also a seasonal worker at the Minnesota State Fair for 15 years. The couple moved to Worthington in 1983. Marilyn worked for HyVee for several years.
She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Worthington. Marilyn enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, especially going out for breakfast with her grandchildren, going to garage sales and dollar stores, crafting, and traveling.
Marilyn is survived by her husband Dale McMahon, Worthington; children Terry (Korine) McMahon, Farmington, MN; Tim (Jolaine) McMahon, Altus, OK and Todd (Rhonda) McMahon, Tampa, FL; seven grandchildren, Amanda Taylor, Daniel McMahon, Mollie McMahon, Hannah (Jacob) Gerten, Kailee McMahon, Christopher McMahon and Keenan McMahon; one brother, George (Sandi) Mueller, Penn Valley, CA and a half -sister, Jeanette Davis, Minneapolis, MN.
She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother Eugene Mueller, and one granddaughter Theresa Dominic McMahon.
