MARION NAVARA, age 93, of Luverne, died Saturday, March 31, 2012, at the Mary Jane Brown Home in Luverne. She was born May 2, 1918, in Brewster, to Victor and Anne (Johnson) Geisendorfer. Marion graduated Salutatorian at Brewster High School; and attended Mankato Business College. She later worked at the Nobles County Court House in Worthington.
Marion married Wesley Navara on July 1, 1939, in Sibley, IA. After their marriage, the couple lived in Worthington. In 1940, the couple moved to Windom. They moved to Luverne in 1952. Marion worked at Latham Insurance Agency, Tony's and the Luverne Federal Savings & Loan.
She was a member of Grace Lutheran Church in Luverne where she had taught Bible School & served as Treasurer; and the GLCW. She enjoyed dancing, traveling and playing cards.
Marion is survived by her three sons, Robert (Twilla) Navara, Lakeville; Paul (Marna) Navara, Boone, IA; and Mark (Mary) Navara, South Haven; seven grandchildren, Tami (Gregg) Riley, Christopher (Angela) Navara, Jill Nelson, Stephanie, Josh (Christine), Jordan and Wesley Navar.; seven great grandchildren, Jonathan (JD) Petersen, Brian and Megan Riley, Adam and Rachel Navara, Paige and Ethan Navara and a sister in-law, Lola Geisendorfer, Worthington..
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Wesley Navara, on September 5, 2011; daughter, Lynn Marie, in 1970; two brothers, Robert & James Geisendorfer; and a sister-in-law, Esther Geisendorfer.
Visitation will be from 9:30 to 11:00 am Tuesday at the Grace Lutheran Church in Luverne. Funeral will be 11 am Tuesday at the Grace Lutheran Church, in Luverne, officiated by Rev. Josh Enderson. Burial will be in the Maplewood Cemetery in Luverne.
