MARTHA ROSE VIESSMAN, age 92, of Adrian, died Tuesday, March 20, 2007, at Arnold Memorial Health Care Center-Nursing Home, Adrian. She was born September 10, 1914 at Little Rock, IA, she was the daughter of Claus and Anna (Franken) Arends. At an early age, she moved with her family from Little Rock to a farm near White, SD where she attended country school. They later moved to a farm south of Adrian. Martha was united in marriage to ?clair ?Red? Viessman on October 25, 1934 in Rock Rapids, IA. Red and Martha made their home in Adrian. Martha did the bookkeeping for Red?s Earth Moving Business. She loved to do crafts and crocheted many beautiful items. Red preceded her in death on July 29, 2000 at the age of 88. Martha continued to live in Adrian and in October 2002 she became a resident of Arnold Memorial Health Care Center-Nursing Home. Martha is survived by two sons, Donald and Joy Viessman, Worthington; Robert and Nancy Viessman, Cincinnati, OH; four grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; sister, Alcie Klooster of Adrian and brother, Clarence Arends of Marysville WA. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Ecair; daughter, Beverly; grandchildren Debra Joy and Barry Jay Viessman; and five sisters.
