Obituary

MARVIN HERMAN HOFFENKAMP, age 69, of Adrian, died Saturday, December 15, 2007, at the Arnold Memorial Health Care Center, in Adrian. He was born March 1, 1938, in Magnolia, to Wubbo Jr. and Emma Hartog. Marv moved to Rushmore at the age of ten and was adopted by Gezinnes and Mable (Winterrand) Hoffenkamp. He attended school in Adrian and Rushmore. Marv married Nancy Bickett in 1962. After their marriage, the couple lived in Adrian. Marv owned & operated Hoffenkamp Bus Service, in Adrian, since 1982. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church, in Worthington; a charter member of the Adrian Jaycees where he had served as Treasurer & Youth Advisor. He had also served on several boards of the United Methodist Church. Marv enjoyed his buses, his dogs, Christmas lights & especially his daughters & grandchildren. He is survived by his wife, Nancy Hoffenkamp, Adrian; three daughters, Ruth & Randy Gunnink, Brandon, SD; Ceta & Mark Zebe, Adrian; and Dolly & Richard Bruns, Adrian; eleven grandchildren, Brandon, Robert, Zeke, Diego, Gabriela, Brisa, Jayden, Scott, Brylee, Mackenzie & Austin; brother, Edward (Linda) Hartog, Sacramento, CA; and three sisters, Beverly Dahlberg, Rushmore; Susie (Clifford) McMartin, Brandon, SD; and Gladys (Henry) Siefkes, Worthington. He was preceded in death by his birth parents; adopted parents; and two brothers, Albert & George Hartog.
