MARY CLARA KLOOSTER, age 81, of Lismore, died Wednesday, June 26, 2013, at the Sanford Hospice Cottage in Luverne. She was born August 7, 1932, in Brewster, to Walter and Gertrude (Frey) Bayerkohler. She attended country school near Barrett, MN.
Marry married John Harms Klooster on March 29, 1958, in Barrett. The couple farmed near Reading and Adrian before retiring to Lismore in 1992. Mary was a farm wife working at John's side. Mary also became one of the "Mary Maids" after retirement, cleaning many homes & businesses in Lismore.
She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Lismore; and the Presbyterian Women. Mary enjoyed crocheting, sewing, puzzles, baking & cooking. Most of all, she enjoyed the time she spent with her children and grandchildren. Mary will be remembered for her wonderful sense of humor and caring heart.
Mary is survived by her four children, Lori Klooster, Adrian; Brenda (Darwin) Gerken, George, IA; Dennis Klooster, Jackson; and Bruce Klooster, Bigelow; two grandchildren, Clarissa & Matthew Gerken; sister, Marcella Winter, Worthington; and brothers and sisters-in-law, Ralph Matthews, Worthington; Marlene Bayerkohler, Barrett; Marvin (Ramona) Klooster, Adrian; Melvin Klooster, Aitkin; Gesina Baumgard, Jordan; and Marge Klooster, Little Falls.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, John, on April 26, 1999; four brothers, Donald, Alfred, Floyd & Darrell Bayerkohler; and two sisters, Bertha (Mrs. Ralph) Matthews and Fern (Mrs. Ray) Graff.
Visitation will be from 2-5 pm Sunday at the Dingmann Funeral Home in Adrian; and one hour prior to the service at the funeral home on Monday. Funeral will be 1:30 pm Monday at the Dingmann Funeral Home, in Adrian, officiated by Rev. Dale Lint. Burial will be in the Adrian Cemetery.
