MATHILDA J. GRAF, age 89, of Worthington, died Tuesday, May 8, 2007 at Arnold Memorial Health Care Center in Adrian. She was born June 22, 1917 in Green Creek, Idaho to parents Joseph and Theresa (Schwartz) Altman. She moved with her family as a young girl to Minnesota and attended rural school and also at St. Anthony Catholic School in Lismore Mathilda was united in marriage to Melvin Graf on April 19, 1938 at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Lismore. They farmed in the Lismore area until moving to Kansas and continued farming for six years and in 1951 the family moved back to the Lismore area and farmed. In 1970 they moved to Adrian and after her husband?s death in 1980 she moved to Worthington. She was a member of St. Mary?s Catholic Church in Worthington. She enjoyed flowers, gardening, reading and crocheting. She is survived by her children, Patricia (Tom) Wallace, Worthington; Stanley (Beverly) Graf, Andover; and John (Elsie) Graf, Tracy; 10 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren; sisters, Martha Dawson, Little Canada; Jean Erpelding, Ellsworth; and Isabelle Reker, Perry, Kansas. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Melvin on May 11, 1980; four sisters, two brothers, two granddaughters and one great granddaughter.
