Obituary

MAXINE MARIE LYNN, age 86, of Adrian, died at Sanford Hospice in Adrian. She was born January 11, 1924, in Saskatewan, Canada, to Francis and Marie (Hoffer) Farrell. She graduated from Santa Ana High School in Santa Ana, CA. Maxine entered the United States Navy in October of 1944. She served her country until being honorably discharged on July 25, 1946. She returned to Luverne where she worked at Tri-State Insurance & J.C. Penney. Maxine married Clyde Lynn on September 14, 1948, at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Lismore. After their marriage, the couple farmed in Southwest Minnesota communities including Adrian, Bergen and Lakefield before moving to the farm west of Adrian in 1958. They retired and moved into Adrian in 1997. She was a member of St. Adrian Catholic Church; the Catholic Daughters of America; the Christian Mothers; an election officer for Westside Township; and she volunteered at the Adrian Nursing Home. Maxine enjoyed bowling & playing cards. She was a people person with an incredible sense of humor. She loved spending time with her people and especially her family. Maxine is survived by her five children and their spouses, Vickie & Gary Loosbrock, Lismore; Jim & Shellie (Larson) Lynn, Adrian; Tom & Sandi (Jones) Lynn, Sioux Falls, SD; Steve & Sharon (Hokeness) Lynn, Adrian; and Joni & Bruce Aggen Rushmore; sixteen grandchildren, Troy (Tammy) Loosbrock, Todd (Amy) Loosbrock, Tony (Nicolle) Loosbrock, Lindsay Loosbrock, LaChelle (Andy) Wieme, Elizabeth (Adam) Hoekstra, Cliff (Lisa) Lynn, Amy (Jeff) Anderson, Ryan (Dawn) Lynn, Allisa (Justin) Richter, Tara (Brock) Dempsey, Jessica Lynn, Collin Lynn. Brandon Aggen, Carissa Aggen & Adam Aggen; eighteen great grandchildren; and two sisters, LaVonne Jenkins, Bellflower, CA; and Dorothy Hebner, Rancho Palos Verdes, CA. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Clyde, on March 2, 2006; two sons, Mark, in 1960 and David, in 1972; and a brother, Everett Farrell.
