MICHAEL "MIKE" HERMELING, age 22, of Rushmore, formerly of Adrian, died Saturday, November 1, 2008, at the Sanford Hospital in Sioux Falls, SD. He was born February 4, 1986, in Worthington, to Doug and Julie (Roemeling) Hermeling. Mike graduated from Adrian High School in 2004. He graduated from Minnesota West Community College, in Worthington, with a degree in Agriculture Management, in 2006. In the spring of 2006, Mike moved to Rushmore. He had worked at the Wilmont Elevator before he began his own business of raising hogs. He was a member of St. Adrian Catholic Church; and the Adrian Archery Club. Mike loved the outdoors. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, his dogs Abby & Kia, and especially spending time with his family & friends. Mike is survived by his parents, Doug & Julie Hermeling, Adrian; sister, Amanda Hermeling, Boise, ID; paternal grandmother, Betty Hermeling, Fulda; maternal grandmother, Viola Roemeling, Adrian; and many aunts, uncles & cousins. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Joe Hermeling; maternal grandfather, John Roemeling; uncle, Rick Roemeling; and an aunt, Kris Hermeling.
