MICHELE "MICKIE" G. PERKINS, age 68, of Kanaranzi, formerly of Worthington, died Wednesday, November 09, 2011, at the Sanford Hospice Cottage in Luverne. She was born November 15, 1942, in Luverne, to Theodore and Dorothea (Leicher) Anderson. She graduated from Luverne High School.
Mickie married Paul Donth on June 28, 1960, in Luverne. After their marriage, the couple lived in Magnolia. They moved to rural Ellsworth in 1974. Mickie & Paul were divorced in July of 1975.
She married Charles Siemer on December 11, 1975, in Sioux Fall, SD. The couple lived on a farm north of Ellsworth. Charles died on January 18, 1990.
Mickie married Vernon Perkins on April 16, 1991. The couple lived in Worthington.
She was an active member of the United Methodist Church, in Worthington, and the church circle & bible study. She was also active in the volunteer program at the Sanford Hospital in Worthington. Mickie served on many committees for her church and hospital auxiliary on the District & State levels. She enjoyed dancing, bowling, crocheting & knitting. She was also an avid reader.
Mickie is survived by her mother, Dorothea (Leon) Goemble, Luverne; daughter & son-in-law, Michele "Shelly" & Danny Deutsch, Kanaranzi; son and daughter-in-law, Paul & Lola Donth Jr., Kanaranzi; four grandchildren, Colter (Sarah) Deutsch, Dustin (Cassy) Donth, Amanda (Ryan Walker) Deutsch, and Bradley Donth; two step grandchildren, Eric (Janelle) Berning & Jessica (Heybo) Julius; six great grandchildren, Emma, Andrew, Addisyn, Lillian, Henry and Charlette; three step great grandchildren, Shane, Natalie & Mallory; four brothers, James (Laura) Anderson, Luverne; Daniel (Becky) Anderson, Hills; Stephan (Donna) Anderson, Linden, UT; and Thomas (Roni) Anderson, Oceanside, CA; four sisters, Stephanie (Gary) Frackman, Anchorage, AK; Juli (Cal) Kuipers, Mankato; Wendy (Dick) Grill, Luverne; and Barbara Wise, Grand Junction, CO; step brothers & step sisters, Janice Larson, Curt Goembel, Dale Goembel, Bonnie Busse-Reu & Branda Goembel;and many nieces & nephews. Mickie always welcomed the "Blended & Extended Families". She slao has a family of Dance Club Members.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Siemers, her father, Theodore Anderson, in 2007 and Paul's infant twin.
Visitation will be from 5-8 pm Friday at the Dingmann Funeral Home in Luverne. Visitation will also be from 10 to 11 am Saturday at the First United Methodist Church, in Worthington. Funeral will be 11 am Saturday at the First United Methodist Church, in Worthington, officiated by Rev. Gordon Orde. Burial will be at 1:30 pm Saturday at the Grand Prairie Cemetery in Ellsworth.
