MILDRED WAHLERT BREUER, age 96, of Barrett, formerly of Adrian, died Tuesday, March 24, 2009, at the Barrett Care Center. She was born August 12, 1912, the daughter of Jacob and Dora (Bendt) Wahlert in Rock Township near Luverne, MN. Mildred was one of 17 children and attended rural school in Rock County, MN. On June 26, 1935 she was united in marriage to Richard Breuer. The couple made Adrian their home until March 15, 2001 when they moved into the Barrett Care Center in Barrett, MN. She was a member of the United Methodist Church of Adrian since 1935 and worked in the Adrian Public High School Library for many years. She enjoyed walking, cooking, baking, coffee parties, playing bridge, and visiting with her many friends. Family love was most important in her life. She was happiest cooking and planning for a family visit. Mildred is survived by her three children, Clifford and wife Judy, Durham, NC; Dorothy Ann Owen and husband Jerome, Keller, TX; Ronald and wife, Yvonne, Dalton, MN; nine grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren and one to be born in October, and two great-great-grandchildren and one to be born in September, and one sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Kenneth and Olga Good of Rochester, MN; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, six sisters, ten brothers and three great grandchildren. She was the last of her sibling generation and a one-of-a-kind. Visitation will be Saturday from 9:30 to 11 am at the United Methodist Church in Adrian. The service will be Saturday at 11 am at the United Methodist Church in Adrian with Pastor Cliff Mays officiating. Burial will be in the Adrian Cemetery.
