NEVA LENORE CUMINGS, age 96, of Luveme, died Thursday, March 15, 2007, at the Sanford Luveme Hospital, in Luveme. She was born December 8, 1910, in Jefferson, IA, to Edward and Sarah (Freeman) Tyer. She graduated from Luveme High School and Normal Teaching Training School. She taught country school for a few years after her education was completed. Neva was united in marriage to Dwight R. Cummings on August 26, 1932 in Sioux Falls, SD. After their marriage they made their home in Luveme where she worked various jobs in town but mostly was at home raising their family. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Luveme where she was active in the Ladies Circle. She enjoyed traveling, playing board games and spending time with her family and friends. Neva is survived by her children and their spouses, Lenore (John) Lohr, DeFuniak Springs, FL; D. Russell (Anita) Cummings, St. Paul; Judy (Gary) Seidel, Lakewood, CO; Joanne (Steve) Gallos, Annapolis, MD; five grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Dwight, three sisters and a brother. Blessed Be Her Memory.
