ORVILLE BROWN HEIDEBRINK, age 98, of Worthington, died Wednesday, July 23, 2025, at the Sunset Hospice Cottage in Worthington. He was born May 5, 1927, in Rushmore, to Brown and Stena (Bents) Heidebrink. In 1932, his parents moved back to the farm south of Rushmore where he attended country School District #92.

Orv married Ruth Koeneke on August 27, 1949 in Worthington. The couple farmed the family farm until retiring and moving to Worthington in 1983. It became a Century Farm in 2017.

He was a former member of Emmanuel Presbyterian Church, south of Rushmore, where he had served as Deacon and Trustee. Orv became a member of the American Reformed Church, in Worthington, in 1983. He enjoyed billiards, playing cards, fishing and watching NASCAR, the Minnesota Twins & Vikings and spending a week with family at the lake up north.

Orv is survived by his wife, Ruth Heidebrink, Worthington; three sons, Daryl (Debra) Heidebrink, Cottonwood; Stanley (Renee) Heidebrink, Rushmore; and Bryan (Laura) Heidebrink, Fergus Falls; ten grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandsons; two nieces and two nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Sharon Hulstein on May 13, 2019; son-in-law, Wayne Hulstein; brother, Harm (Helen) Heidebrink; sister, Hilda (Dale) Lutner; two nieces and a nephew.

A time of fellowship will be from 9 to 11 am Saturday, July 26 at the Dingmann Funeral Home in Worthington. Memorial service will be 11 am Saturday at the Dingmann Funeral Home, in Worthington, officiated by Pastor Alan Salwei. Burial will be in the Sunset Rest Cemetery in Rushmore.
