PATRICIA JEAN (McCLURE) LADD, age 83, of Luverne, died Tuesday, July 30, 2024, at the Sanford USD Medical Center in Sioux Falls, SD. She was born July 28, 1941, in Sioux Falls, SD, to John and Helen (Thorson) Kent. She graduated from Luverne High School in 1959. She later attended Worthington Community College.

Pat married Roger McClure on March 5, 1960, in Luverne. After their marriage, the couple lived in Luverne. Pat held various jobs including Luverne High School office, Connell Car Care and later Schoon Motors. After she retired, she became an antique dealer. Roger died in 1982.

Pat married Francis Ladd on July 17, 1983, at Grace Lutheran Church in Luverne. The couple lived one mile east of Luverne. During their marriage, they shared a love for antiques so she retired and opened up an antique shop.

She was a member of Grace Lutheran Church in Luverne; and a Master Gardener. She enjoyed her family, gardening, antique shopping and attending auctions with Francis.

Pat is survived by her husband, Francis Ladd, Luverne; two daughters, Cathy (Ron) Honken, Leota; and Melissa McClure, Omaha, NE; four grandchildren, Nick (Margo) McClure, Ericka (Michael) Gilbert, Reed Honken and Riley Honken; and eight great-grandchildren, Jillian, Arianna, Mila, Elijah, Micah, Maddie, Isaiah and Palmer.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and her first husband, Roger.

Funeral service will be 1pm Saturday, August 3, at the Dingmann Funeral Home, in Luverne, officiated by Rev. Dr. Phil Booe. A visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Maplewood Cemetery in Luverne.
