On March 2, 2015, Paul Alan Kleinjan, 59, of rural Hardwick MN, after a 8 year battle with ALS died peacefully surrounded by family and friends at Sanford Hospital in Luverne, MN.
Paul was born in Pipestone MN on October 15, 1955, the oldest son of Elmer and Ramona (Beckering ) Kleinjan. He graduated in1973 from Edgerton Public School.  He continued his education at Pipestone Area Vocational School in Diesel mechanics.
On July 5, 1974 Paul was united in marriage to Mary Jo Otter of Pipestone MN, four children were born of this union.
On June 24, 1995 Paul was united in marriage to Rebecca Boyum of Sioux Falls SD.
Paul loved cars and could talk about them for hours.  His family and friends enjoyed his sense of humor, his strength, and his love of adventure. He loved snowmobiling, four wheeling, horses, horsepower, camping, boating and finding the next great deal on a car. His love of cars was nothing compared to his love and compassion for his family.

Paul worked many places including, Hansen Silo and Bayliner Marine. Until ALS rendered him unable to work, Paul returned to driving truck for Winter Trucking a passion that began at a young age working with his father for Kleinjan Brothers Trucking.

Paul is survived by his wife Rebecca, his children, Amanda (Darren) Rouzer, Casandra (Mike Buys) Kleinjan, Angel Kleinjan, Zachary (Christine) Boyum, and Dulcinea Boyum. His grandchildren Dylan, Aurora, Dalton, Jazilyn, Kaiden, Camden, Zemirah, and Caradyn. His mother Ramona, his sister Mary (Chris Larson)and brother Mark.
Paul was preceded in death by his daughter, Angel Kay, father Elmer Kleinjan and grandparents, John and Lydia Beckering and Arie and Ella Kleinjan.
In keeping with the wishes of Paul, there will be no funeral services.
Paul's ashes will be buried next to his dad at Hillcrest Cemetery in Edgerton during a private ceremony in the Spring.
