PAULINE K. HECK, age 88, of Luverne, died, Saturday, January 29, 2011 at the Tuff Memorial Home in Hills. She was born November 26, 1922 in Worthington to parents Arthur and Mae (Peterson) Johnson. She graduated from the Worthington Public High School in 1940, and then attended college in Jacksonville, Illinois for a short time. Pauline was united in marriage to Merrill ?Bud? Heck on March 8th, 1942 in Sioux City, Nebraska. After their marriage they lived in Colorado and after Bud?s discharge from the U.S. Army Air Corp the family moved to Worthington, MN. In 1957 the family moved to Luverne where she worked at Schlader Jewelry Store. After her husband?s death in 1973, she moved to Georgia and returned to Luverne in 1992. Pauline loved antiques and enjoyed sewing. Pauline is survived by her son Steven (Sandy Hatting) Heck, Luverne; four grandchildren, Kim Cox, Sioux Falls, SD; Kris Heck, Luverne; Kirby Heck, Colorado Springs, CO; and Korey Heck, Luverne; six great grandchildren, Arielle Heck, Stephan Cox, Taylor Heck, Tierra Heck, Jordan Heck and Riley Heck. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and two sisters, Dolores Wagner and Gloria Melcher.
