IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Pearl E
(Christopherson) Soderholm
October 8, 1924 – July 10, 2022
PEARL ELVERA SODERHOLM, age 97, of Worthington, died at Arbors at Ridges in Burnsville. She was born October 8, 1924, to Peter and Alice Christopherson at her home in Bigelow Township in Nobles County, Minnesota. She attended country school and later graduated from Worthington High School. She attended Bethel College and Worthington Community College. She worked at Northwestern Life Insurance in Minneapolis and Nobles County Co-op Oil in Worthington and was a hard-working partner with her husband on the family farm.
At age eleven she put her trust in Jesus Christ as her personal Savior. She attended Indian Lake Baptist Church in rural Worthington as a youth and was a member of First Covenant Church for all of her adult life. She loved the church and helped in many areas. She was married to Gordon Soderholm on March 10, 1950. They were married for fifty-six years. They were parents of three children Karen, Janice and Charles. They farmed in Elk Township and retired in Worthington. After Gordon died, Pearl lived at the Meadows in Worthington, Oak Terrace in North Mankato and finally at the Arbors at Ridges in Burnsville.
Pearl is survived by Janice Ebeling (Craig) of Burnsville and Charles Soderholm (Janine) of Eagan; and a son-in-law, William (Mimi) Peterson, St. Paul. She was greatly loved by her ten grandchildren and her seventeen great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Gordon on August 8, 2006; her daughter, Karen Peterson on August 30, 2008; and her brother, Burton.
Pearl lived a long and full life. She was an expert in many crafts especially sewing and quilting. She generously used those skills to spoil her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren with clothing, quilts and blankets. She will be sorely missed by all. Blessed be her memory.
A memorial service will be Thursday, July 14 at 11 am at the Dingmann Funeral Home, in Worthington, officiated by Pastor John Stewart. A time of fellowship will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
