PERFECTO TEMAJ LOPEZ, age 37, of Worthington, died Saturday, September 25, 2021. Perfecto was born December 18, 1984, in Guatemala, to Miguel Temaj Dionicio and Fracisca Lopez De Temaj. Perfecto spent most of his childhood in Guatemala. He was the youngest of six children and spent most of his time with his older sister, Marcelina, as she looked after him whenever their mother was busy with the others. He loved playing soccer when he was younger. Along with soccer, he had an interest in mechanics and the way things operated. He bought his own bike as a child and was extremely proud to ride around and show it off to the neighborhood. His curiosity for mechanics stayed with him all of his life. Perfecto moved to the United States around 2001 and had many different jobs. He moved to Worthington in 2007. While living in Worthington, he worked for Redwood Farms Meat Processors in Estherville, IA. Perfecto is survived by his life partner, Yolanda Gabriel, Worthington; mother, Francisca, of Guatemala; two children, Brisa Janet Temaj Gabriel, Worthington; and Jeimy O Temaj Gabriel, Worthington; sister, Marcelina Temaj Lopez, Worthington; and two brothers, Rufino Temaj Lopez, Worthington; and Jorge Temaj Lopez, Guatemala. He was preceded in by his father, Miguel Temaj Dionicio, and two brothers, Ambrocio Temaj Lopez; and Eduardo Temaj Lopez.

Visitation will be from 4-8 pm Wednesday at the Dingmann Funeral Home, in Worthington, and also one hour prior to the service at the church on Thursday. Funeral Mass will be 4 pm Thursday at St. Mary Catholic Church in Worthington. A private family committal service will take place later in Guatemala.
