June 20, 1947 – January 11, 2025
PHYLLIS "JODY" ELAINE ROGERS, age 77, of Worthington, died Saturday, January 11, 2025, at the Sunset Hospice Cottage, in Worthington, after a courageous battle with Mesothelioma. She was born June 20, 1947, in Adrian, to Peter and Marie (Herding) Dammer. She graduated from Little Rock High School in Little Rock, IA.
Jody married Larry Rogers on June 22, 1968, at the Bethel Reformed Church south of Ellsworth. The couple lived in Huron, SD where Jody worked at Raven Industries. In 1970, they moved to Worthington where she worked at Hanson's Furniture and the accounting offices at Gordy's Supervalue/County Market.
She was an active member of the American Reformed Church in Worthington. Jody cherished and adored her grandchildren. She also enjoyed delivering Meals on Wheels and wintering in Lake Havasu. She had many fond memories traveling to almost all 50 states with her family.
Jody is survived by her husband, Larry Rogers, Worthington; two sons, Scott Rogers, Malvern, IA; and Evan (Nicole) Rogers, Columbus OH; six grandchildren, Nicholas, Madisen, Andrew, Erin, Zachary and Collin Rogers; her sister, Beverly (Eldon) Eilertson, Brookings, SD; many nieces & nephews; and many great-nieces & nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and her brother, David Dammer.
A time of fellowship will be from 9-11 am Saturday, January 18 at the American Reformed Church in Worthington. A memorial service will be 11 am Saturday at the American Reformed Church, in Worthington, officiated by Pastor Alan Salwei. A private family committal service will be at a later date.
Dingmann Funeral Home & Cremation Services, in Worthington, is in charge of arrangements.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the Sunset Hospice Cottage in Worthington.
