IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Phyllis Faye
(Jacobs) Wagley
August 18, 1944 – April 12, 2025
Phyllis Faye Wagley, age 80, of Rushmore, died at Pipestone County Hospice House from complications with Lewy Body Dementia. She was born August 18, 1944 in Adrian to Theodore "Ted" and Mildred (Ross) Jacobs. She graduated from Worthington High School. Phyllis married her husband of sixty two years, Gary Wagley on November 16, 1962, at the First Presbyterian Church Rushmore. The couple lived in Rushmore where they raised their family and worked together at the fertilizer plant before she began working for the Coop Elevator. Although hard work was a priority, they were able to travel together to Hawaii, Rome, Mexico, and South Texas. Phyllis joined the First Presbyterian Church in Rushmore in 1958 where she remained a member volunteering during funerals and baking for VBS. She loved baking, cooking family dinners, gardening, canning, and sewing. Family was most important to her, especially family gatherings with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She often had a special treat or note waiting for them in their own mailbox and she never tired of playing with them. Trips together to the lake were a favorite time for the family. Phyllis is survived by her husband, Gary Wagley of Rushmore, her three children Kurt Wagley of Rushmore, Jeff (Beth Ann) Wagley of Lewisville, TX, Angela Wagley (Steve) of George, Iowa, 4 grandchildren: Dustin, Amanda, Madeline, and Meredith, and five great-grandchildren Ella, Hudson, Ivy, Olivia, and Haven, a brother, Steven (Deb) Jacobs of Sauk Rapids and sister, Joyce Caviness of Windom. She was preceded in death by her parents, brother Donald (Carole) Jacobs, and brother -in-law Mark Caviness.
