PHYLLIS J. WHITE, age 84, of Brandon, SD, formerly of Worthington, died Monday, October 1, 2007 at the Terrace Manor Nursing Home in Dell Rapids, SD. She was born March 31, 1923 in Lake City, IA; to parents, Nels ?Gus? and Mabel (Brush) Holm. In 1932, her family moved to Brewster and Phyllis attended Brewster High School. Phyllis was united in marriage to Ward E. White on May 9, 1942 in South Sioux City, NE. After their marriage the couple moved to Worthington. Phyllis was employed at the Campbell Soup Company in Worthington for many years. In 1973, the couple moved to Brandon, SD. Phyllis was a member of the VFW women?s auxillary. She is survived by three children, Gary (Barbara) White, Waverly, KS; Sharon Vorce, Worthing, SD; and Randy (Eunice) White, Crooks, SD; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Phyllis is preceded in death by her parents, husband Ward on June 12, 1996, three sisters, Ila Spessard, Fern Morrison, Hazel Polzine and son-in-law, Paul Vorce.
