RAYMOND OTTO BOCKWOLDT, age 96, of Worthington, died, Sunday, November 22, 2009, at the Sanford Sunset Hospice Cottage in Worthington. He was born February 16, 1913, in Round Lake Township. Ray was the fourth oldest child of Hans and Alma (Untiedt) Bockwoldt. He attended country school District #76. Ray worked on the farm until he moved to Worthington with his brother and two sisters in 1967. Ray and his brother started doing odd jobs, painting houses, carpentry work and later worked with auctioneers helping with sales. He was a member of the American Lutheran Church, in Worthington, since 1968. He enjoyed fishing and helping others. Ray is survived by his three sisters, Velma Bockwoldt, Worthington; Helen Paulsen, Round Lake; and Irene Bockwoldt, Worthington; and two nieces, Linda Paulsen, Round Lake; and Donna (Keith) Prentice, Terril, IA. He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Alice; and three brothers, William, Walter & Edwin, who was killed in WWII in 1944.
