RAYMOND DeVRIES, age 79, of rural Rushmore, died Tuesday, May 29, 2007 at his home in rural Rushmore. He was born December 6, 1927 in Ransom Township, Nobles County, MN; to parents Joe and Susie (Harberts) DeVries. He grew up on the family farm south of Rushmore and attended country school at District #20 in Ransom Township. Raymond served his nation during the Korean Conflict in the United States Army and was stationed in Germany. After the service he worked for Nobles County Highway Department for many years. He enjoyed collecting old cars and maintaining them. Raymond is survived by his brother, Robert (Alice) DeVries, Worthington; sisters, Darleen (Joseph) Clark, rural Worthington and Betty Bohnart, Rushmore. He is also survived by 10 nieces and nephews and numerous great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers, Harry, Harold and Clifford.
