RAYMOND ALBERT HENNING, age 64, of rural Rushmore, died Tuesday, June 12, 2012 at Sunset Cottage in Worthington.  He was born on January 31, 1948, in Worthington to parents, George A. and Anna (Behrens) Henning. He attended school in Rushmore and graduated from Worthington High School in 1966. After graduation Ray attended Jackson Vocational School and completed a two year auto body course.  He also served his country for 15 months during the Vietnam Conflict. After he was honorably discharged he farmed near Rushmore. In 1972 he started Henning's Body Shop in Allendorf, IA and also continued to farm.
Ray was united in marriage to Glad A. Landuyt on November 17, 1973 at the American Lutheran Church in Worthington. The couple made their home in rural Rushmore. Ray continued to farm and operate his body shop.
Ray was a member of the American Lutheran Church in Worthington. He served 20 years on the advisory school board at Jackson Vocational School and also the United Coop Board and other various boards. He loved spending time with his family, fishing, restoring and collecting John Deere tractors. He enjoyed Nascar racing, camping and socialized wherever he went.
He is survived by his wife, Glad Henning, rural Rushmore, MN; one son, Roger Lee (Tami) Henning, Rushmore, MN; one daughter, Becky Anne Henning, Eagan, MN; four grandchildren,  Connor Lee and Carson George Henning, Rushmore, MN; Drew David and Dylan Jacob Landuyt, Myerstown, PA;  sisters, Martha (Gary) Naab, Worthington, MN;  Marlys (Paul) Busse, Sibley, IA;  brother, Robert (Carol) Henning, Sheldon, IA; sisters, Delores (Dale) Stahl, Ocheyedan, IA;  Darlene (David) Fick, Valley Springs, SD and step-mother, Lorna Henning, Sibley, IA.
In lieu of flowers memorials are preferred.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers-in-law and one niece.
Visitation will be Friday from 4 to 8 PM at the Dingmann Funeral Home in Worthington.  Visitation will also be one hour prior to the service at the church.
The service will be Saturday at 10:30 AM at the American Lutheran Church in Worthington with the Rev. Ryan Radtke officiating.  Burial will be in the Garden of Memory Cemetery in Worthington.
