RAYMOND C. LONNEMAN, age 97, of St. Kilian, died Monday, June 15, 2020, at the Adrian Country Living Cottages. He was born April 19, 1923, in Adrian, to Frank and Elizabeth (Hemming) Lonneman. Ray entered the United States Army on December 12, 1944. He served his country during WWII as a Master Sergeant before being honorably discharged on November 9, 1946.

Ray married Coletta Johanning on January 21, 1947 at St. Kilian Catholic Church. The couple farmed south of Wilmont. In 1954, they moved to the farm north of St. Kilian.

He was a member of St. Kilian Catholic Church, St. Kilian; the Knights of Columbus; and the Wilmont VFW. Ray enjoyed farming, hunting, fishing and trapping. He loved trap shooting and was an ace marksman.

Ray is survived by his four children, Dan (Manya) Lonneman, Atlanta, GA; Marcel (Elizabeth) Lonneman, Seattle, WA; Bob Lonneman, Seattle, WA; and Jon (Rhonda) Lonneman, Heron Lake; daughter-in-law, Janice Lonneman, Northfield; eight grandchildren, Rae Jean (Ron) Bulthuis, Mark (Terese) Lonneman, Deb Plikuhn, Cindy (Tim Friendshuh) Lonneman, Thomas Lonneman, Jesselyn Lonneman, Michaela (Jeff) Yancey and Logan Jamison; seven great-grandchildren, Jason and Kelly Bulthuis; Megan (Trevor) Bartz; Nathan Euler; Ava and Dylan Plikuhn; and Maeve Yancey; two brothers, Marvin Lonneman, Worthington; and Arthur (Ann) Lonneman, Luverne; and two sisters, Velma (Leland) Zylstra, Alta, IA; and Elaine (Edward) John, Adrian.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Coletta on February 21, 2018; son, Alan Lonneman in 2002; an infant son, David; and a sister, Eleanor Balster.

Funeral Mass will be Monday at 11 am at Our Lady of Good Counsel Catholic Church, in Wilmont, officiated by Monsignor Richard Colletti. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will be in the Ft. Snelling National Cemetery in Bloomington. Local military honors will be provided by the Wilmont VFW.
