ROBERT "BOB" CRAIG JENSEN, age 73, of Luverne, died Saturday, April 23, 2016, at the Sanford USD Medical Center in Sioux Falls, SD. He was born August 20, 1942, in Luverne, to Morris and Lola (Johnson) Jensen. Bob was raised, confirmed and educated in Luverne. He graduated from Luverne High School in 1960. Bob served his country in the Minnesota National Guard from 1964 to 1970.
Bob worked at Thermo King Refrigeration before working with Elliott & Anderson Floor Covering for over twenty eight years. After retiring in the early 1990's, he held various part time jobs.
He was a former member of Grace Lutheran Church in Sioux Falls, SD, where he volunteered many hours; and a current member of Grace Lutheran Church in Luverne. Bob volunteered at Project Car for many years. He belonged to the Autobahn BMW Riders; and the Siouxland Goldwing club. He enjoyed riding motorcycles for over fifty years.
Bob is survived by his daughter, Kristin J. Togtman, Arlington, TX; two nieces, Brenda Rieger, Sioux Falls, SD; and Annie Kamphaus, Nevis, MN; cousin, Ike (Doreen) Wiese, Luverne; special friends, Duane & Peg Lammert, Sioux Falls, SD; and several other cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and a sister, Carol Christianson.
Visitation will be from 5-7 pm Wednesday at the Dingmann Funeral Home in Luverne; and also one hour prior to the service at the church on Thursday. Funeral will be 3:00 PM Thursday at Grace Lutheran Church, in Luverne, officiated by Pastor Cole McCormick. Burial will be at the Maplewood Cemetery, in Luverne, at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred.
