RORY CLYDE BURKE, age 61, of Sioux Falls, SD, formerly of Luverne, died Friday, September 23, 2016, at the Bethany Home in Brandon, SD. He was born May 25, 1955, in Rochester, to Clyde and Patricia (Dell) Burke. In 1960, the Burke family moved to Luverne. Rory graduated from Luverne High School in 1973. He then attended Augustana College, Sioux Falls, SD, South Dakota State University, in Brookings and Southwest Minnesota State University, in Marshall.

He lived in Brookings, SD before moving to his home in Sioux Falls, SD. Rory enjoyed reading, watching movies and listening to music. He owned an extensive album collection.

Rory is survived by his brother, Tim (Pam) Frakes, St. Cloud; two sisters, Keely (Tommy) Frakes-Rau, Avon; and Karen Ylvisaker-Ancil, Marion, IN; many nieces, nephews, great nieces & nephews and cousins; and his good friend, Jim (Rachelle) Hoh, Sioux Falls, SD.

He was preceded in death by his father, Clyde Burke; mother, Patricia (Burke) Frakes; step father, Dallis Frakes; and a brother, Perry Frakes in 1983.

A gathering of family & friends will be from 3-5 pm Saturday, October 8, 2016, at the Dingmann Funeral Home in Luverne. A private family committal of cremains will be at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred.
