ROY HAROLD BUSS Sr., age 87, of Luverne, died Sunday, April 19, 2009, at the Mary Jane Brown Home in Luverne. He was born February 18, 1922, in rural Ellsworth, to Tony and Tina (Westerbur) Buss. He attended school in Ellsworth. Roy married Alice Ann Peterson on December 14, 1947, in Luverne. After their marriage, the couple lived in Luverne. Roy worked at Worthmore Poultry and later, Worthmore Locker in Luverne. He then worked at A.R. Woods Manufacturing, the City of Luverne and the skating rink, before retiring in 1997. He was a member of the United Methodist Church in Luverne. He enjoyed fishing & yard work. In his younger years, Roy enjoyed taking his family to rodeos and The Grand Old Oprey in Sioux Falls, SD. Roy is survived by his wife, Alice Buss, Luverne; four children, Roy Jr. (Judy) Buss, Luverne; Shirley (friend, Glen White) Anderson, Steen; Carolyn ?Kelli? (LaValle) Voog, Centerville, SD; and Linda (Calvin James ?Jim?) Van Hulzen, Sioux Falls, SD; eleven grandchildren, Don (friend, Suzette) Buss, Melissa (Jason) Bradley, Chad (Jill) Buss, Michele (friend, Pat Carr) Etherington, Michael (Michelle) Anderson, Miranda (friend, Matt Hites) Herrmann, Matthew (Rose) Anderson, Mitchel Anderson, Bridget (Scott) Hansen, Tammy (Neal) Bobzin, and Jared (Ashley) Voog; twenty great grandchildren; and a brother, Jake (Gladys) Buss, Lismore. He was preceded in death by his parents; six brothers; and seven sisters.
