RUTH E. BREUER, age 84, of Adrian, died Wednesday, January 10, 2007 at Sioux Valley Luverne Hospital. She was born August 18, 1922 in Luverne, MN; to parents Henry and Elly (Gunderson) Arndt. She attended school in Luverne. Ruth was united in marriage to Lawrence Breuer on December 9, 1939 in Rock Rapids, IA. They made their home in Adrian. She was a full time homemaker and after her family grew up she did babysitting in her home. In 1970, they moved to Round Lake and she was employed at Sather?s Company in Round Lake. They returned to Adrian in 1971. Ruth was an active member of the United Methodist Church in Adrian and a member of the United Methodist Woman. She also belonged to the Adrian fellowship group and helped with the church newsletter. She enjoyed music, fishing, knitting, crocheting, collecting dolls, crossword puzzles and shopping. Ruth loved children and helping her husband with painting and interior decorating. She is survived by her children, Kathleen (Kenneth) Elsing, Adrian; LaVonne Koeneke, Adrian; Gilbert (Deb) Breuer, Aitkin, MN; Don Breuer, Adrian; Jerry Breuer, Adrian; Arlene Hinsch, Rock Rapids, IA and Becky (Bill) Prickett, Grand Rapids, MN; 18 grandchildren, 28 great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren; also surviving is a sister Arlene Peterson, Sioux Falls, SD. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Lawrence in 1999, sons Robert and Doug, daughter, Jeanine, brothers Stanley and Raymond, an infant brother and one granddaughter, Candice Elsing.
