RUTH MARIE CASPER, age 91, of Brewster, died Monday, April 6, 2020, at the Sunset Hospice Cottage in Worthington. She was born March 24, 1929, in Worthington, to Harvey and Marie (Tholen) Kunze. She graduated from Westbrook High School.

Ruth married Samuel Casper Sr. on November 25, 1948, in Westbrook. The couple farmed northwest of Brewster. Ruth also worked as a Nurses Aid at the Worthington Regional Hospital.

She was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church in Brewster. She enjoyed crafts, the outdoors and butterflies.

Ruth is survived by her six children, Sam Jr. (Becky) Casper, Huron, SD; Jim (Alice) Casper, Tavares, FL; Marietta (Marlin) Clausen, Brewster; Barb (Al) Waage, Worthington; Rod (Lori) Casper, Brewster; and Carol Casper, Brewster; eighteen grandchildren; fifty three great-grandchildren; and a sister, Mary (Jim) Kraft, Worthington.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Sam on October 2, 2001; three grandchildren, Nathaniel Casper, Susan Clausen-Shea and Joey Casper; a great-granddaughter, Makayla; and a sister, Dorothy Petersen.

A memorial service will be at the Dingmann Funeral Home, in Worthington, at 11 am Friday, September 25, 2020.

Burial of cremains will be in the Hersey Cemetery in Brewster.
