Obituary

SALLY ANN BEERMAN, age 60, of Worthington, died Thursday, March 26, 2020 at Sanford USD Medical Center, Sioux Falls, SD. Sally was born September 29, 1959, in Worthington, to Marvin and Rosemarie (Berry) Beerman. Her early years were spent on the family farm near Brewster, where she enjoyed being outdoors, helping with chores and gardening, listening to music, and participating in family activities being especially fond of marshmallow roasts and sing-a-longs. At the age of fourteen, she moved to Willmar, where she found great joy and freedom in the ability to operate a power wheelchair. At the age of twenty-one, she moved to Worthington, when Ridgewood, a group home for adults with disabilities opened. She resided there until her passing, enjoying baking, listening to music, doing crafts, watching movies, being read to, fishing, visiting with family members and friends, and personal quiet time.

She received her education at the DAC in Adrian; Crippled Children's School, Worthington; Regional Training Center, Willmar; and Worthington High School from which she graduated in 1982. After graduation, she worked at the Nobles County DAC, in Worthington, where she shredded papers, stamped note pads, enjoyed travel videos, and joyfully interacted with and assisted staff members with various jobs.

Sally was a person of deep faith who loved deeply, lived joyfully and trusted her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ unconditionally. Her favorite quote was "Nothing is going to happen to me today that the Lord and I together cannot handle." Her love of Christian music was a source of calm and comfort to her. She loved her family, favorite staff, and friends deeply and looked forward to being with them freely offering hugs, a listening ear, and open acceptance. Her keen sense of humor and laughter spread joy to those who knew her. In spite of her physical limitations, she embraced limitless hopes and dreams.

Sally was welcomed into her Heavenly Father's arms on Thursday March 26, 2020, following a brief illness at Sanford USD Medical Center in Sioux Falls, SD. Her cherished dream to be free from the body that limited her is fulfilled as she dwells without limitations in the heavenly home prepared for her.

Left behind to cherish her memory are her seven siblings: Judy (Darwin) Stahl, Hawley; Daniel (Linda) Beerman, Iona; David (Debbie) Beerman, Nevada, MO; Bruce Beerman, Brewster; Carolyn Beerman, Brewster; Norma (Robert) Dittman, Dundee; Brian (Jeanette) Beerman, Lebanon, MO; brother-in-law Marc Postma, Worthington; many nieces and nephews, staff members and friends.
