SAMUEL J. BRANDENBURG, age 92, of Beaver Creek, died Sunday, November 12, 2006, at the Sioux Valley Luverne Hospital. He was born November 17, 1913, on the family farm in Blue Mound Township, north of Luverne. Sam was the son of Samuel P. and Mary (Hassler) Brandenburg. He attended country school north of Luverne. Sam married Lois Beck on January 2, 1970, at Bethlehem Lutheran Church. After their marriage, the couple lived in rural Beaver Creek all of their married lives. Sam farmed before retiring in 1977. He was a member of St. Catherine Catholic Church, in Luverne. He enjoyed fishing & bowling. Sam is survived by his son, George Brandenburg, rural Beaver Creek; and nieces & nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Lois, on April 24, 1996; three brothers, Raymond, Leo & Paul Brandenburg; and a sister, Hortense Schlader. Blessed Be His Memory.
