Scott Lawrence Klooster

    SCOTT LAWRENCE KLOOSTER, age 61, of Adrian, Minnesota, passed away Friday, April 24, 2026, at Sanford USD Medical Center in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, surrounded by his family. Scott battled lung cancer for 5 years.

    Scott was born on April 23,1965, in Adrian, Minnesota, to Lawrence and Lorraine (Visker) Klooster. He graduated from Ellsworth High School in 1983 and served in the Minnesota National Guard.

    Scott married Shelley Jurrens on June 21, 1986, at Salem Reformed Church in Little Rock, Iowa. Together they made their home in Adrian, where they built a life filled with love, laughter, and family. He was looking forward to celebrating their 40th wedding anniversary this June.

    Scott worked at JBS in Worthington for more than 40 years, where he was known as a dedicated employee who took great pride in his work. He was a member of Adrian United Methodist Church.

    He enjoyed fishing trips to Chamberlain with the guys, going to auctions, trips to the casino, blaring classic rock, cheering on the Vikings, spending time with family and friends, being a proud grandpa, and taking his beloved dog, Tank, on car rides. Scott was very proud of his two children, Shea and Shannon. Above all, Scott loved having Shelley by his side.

   Scott is survived by his wife, Shelley Klooster of Adrian; his children, Shea (Dani) Klooster of Steen and Shannon (Weston) Erlandson of Rushmore; three grandchildren, Gracelyn, Tauren, and Declyn; his mother, Lorraine Klooster of Ellsworth; one brother, Steve (Karen) Klooster of Sioux Falls, South Dakota; two sisters, Lynette (Keith) Shishido of San Clemente, California, and Leanne Warwick of Sioux Falls, South Dakota; his father-in-law, Fred Jurrens of Little Rock, Iowa; brothers-in-law, Shane (Ingrid) Jurrens of Luverne, Minnesota, Shaun Jurrens of Little Rock, Iowa, and Seth Jurrens of Little Rock, Iowa; sister-in-law, Sonya (John Gilgen) Jurrens of Little Rock, Iowa; and nieces and nephews.

    He was preceded in death by his father, Lawrence Klooster; and his mother-in-law, Mavis Jurrens.

    Visitation will be on Monday, April 27, 2026 from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Dingmann Funeral Home in Adrian, and one hour prior to the service Tuesday at the church.

    Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, April 28, 2026 at Adrian United Methodist Church, officiated by Pastor John Mitchem.

    Burial will be in Pleasant View Cemetery in Little Rock, Iowa following the funeral service.
