SHARON MARIE MEYER, age 76, of Round Lake, died Saturday, November 23rd, 2024, at the Avera-McKennan Hospital in Sioux Falls, SD. She was born May 7th, 1948, in Worthington, to Mansel and Irene (Beuthien) Jurgensen. She graduated from Round Lake High School.

Sharon married William "Bill" Meyer on April 15th, 1967, at the Bethel Lutheran Church in Round Lake. After marriage, they lived in Round Lake where they raised two daughters. In 1991, they built their dream home on the north side of Round Lake. Sharon worked at Cambell Soup Company prior to Sather's Cookie and Candy Company where she worked for thirty-five years until she retired in 2013.

Sharon was a member of the Bethel Lutheran Church in Round Lake where she taught Sunday School, sang in the choir and was an active member of the Ladies Aid. She was also a member of the Round Lake Ladies Auxiliary Post #461 where she had served as President for many years. She had a busy social life including bowling, golfing, winery outings and Friday night happy hours at the Round Lake Legion. She enjoyed time with family by going camping, fishing, cruising on the pontoon, family gatherings and supporting her grandchildren's activities. She was a Wife, a Mom and a Grandma, all roles that she put her heart and soul into.

Sharon is survived by her two daughters, Leah (Ron) Lonneman, Adrian; and Laura (Todd) Henderson, Worthington; four grandchildren, Mitchell (Hannah) Lonneman, Bailey Lonneman (Dakota John), Megan Henderson and Ethan Henderson; three brothers, Larry (Darleen) Jurgensen, Kansas City, MO; David (Diane) Jurgensen, Spirit Lake, IA; and Stan Jurgensen, Worthington; a sister, Rosie Schumann, Round Lake; three sisters-in-law, Mindy Jurgensen, Lake Park, IA; and LeAnne Meyer, Worthington, Sharon (Stan) Block, Fairmont; and brother-in-law James (Marcia) Meyer, Amery, WI; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Bill on February 16th, 2019; brother, Dale Jurgensen; and three brothers-in-law, David Schumann, Charles (Peggy) Meyer and Arnold Meyer.

Visitation will be from 4-7 pm Friday, November 29th, at the Dingmann Funeral Home in Worthington; and also one hour prior to the service at the church on Saturday. Funeral will be 10:30 am Saturday at the Bethel Lutheran Church, in Round Lake, officiated by Pastor Glenn Bohmer. Burial will be in the Round Lake Cemetery.
