SHIRLEY JEAN SCHEIDT, age 80, of Adrian, died Wednesday, January 30, 2013, at the Sanford Hospice Cottage in Luverne. She was born June 6, 1932, in Adrian, to Charles and Leloa (Thom) Jepson. She graduated from St. Adrian High School.
Shirley married Norbert Scheidt sixty years ago on June 2, 1952, at St. Adrian. After their marriage, the couple farmed northeast of Adrian; and later west of Adrian before moving to Adrian in 1960. Shirley worked at several businesses including Safeway, the Countryside Inn and later, cleaned homes until she retired.
She was a member of St. Adrian Catholic Church.
Shirley is survived by her husband, Norb Scheidt, Adrian; five children, Kenny (Nancy) Scheidt, Luverne; Keith (April) Scheidt, Jeffers; Don Scheidt, Casper, WY; Therese Scheidt, Brandon, SD; and Tom Scheidt, Worthington; twelve grandchildren; and seven great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Donna Scheidt, in April of 2012; and two brothers, Jim & Bob Jepson.
Visitation will be from 9:30 to 11 am Saturday at St. Adrian Catholic Church. Funeral Mass will be 11 am Saturday at St. Adrian Catholic Church, in Adrian, officiated by Fr. Andrew Beerman. Burial will be in the St. Adrian Cemetery.
