SOMPHETH "JOY" INTHIRATH, age 58, of Worthington, died Thursday, July 6, 2023, at the Avera-McKennan Hospital in Sioux Falls, SD. He was born May 1, 1965, in Savannakhet, Laos to Tai and Obma Inthirath. In his early 20's, Joy immigrated to the United States to the state of Washington. He later moved to Worthington, MN.

Joy married Suang Chandaswang on December 20, 1993, in Worthington. The couple lived in Worthington, where Joy worked at JBS for over thirty-one years.

He enjoyed playing the keyboard, fishing, gardening, and his apple tree.

Joy is survived by his wife, Suang Inthirath, three children: Sooky Inthirath, Suvie Inthirath, Vixai Inthirath and two brothers, Paul and Keith Inthirath.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral service will be Sunday, July 9 at1pm at the Dingmann Funeral Home in Worthington. A private family burial service will take place at a later date.
