Obituary

Shrim, 34, passed away on February 7, 2014, at Sanford Medical Center, Worthington, MN, from a 19-month battle with pancreatic cancer.

Shrim was born in Thailand on October 28, 1979, to Phon and Tang (Manivong) Nakhornsak, and was the eldest of four children. He came to America with his family in 1990 where he made his mark. He graduated from Worthington High School in 1999 and Minnesota West Technical and Community College in 2001. While at school, Shrim started working at AGCO in 2000. AGCO became a place he genuinely loved to be—so much, he volunteered for the Special Activities committee where he could help coordinate events. He found enjoyment in making others happy and making friends along the way.

Shrim also loved fishing, which made him happy. He would go in rain, sunshine, warm, and cold. When he wasn't fishing, he was watching sports or playing Candy Crush Saga—you still can't catch up to him. Shrim enjoyed all sports, but he will always cheer on and stay loyal to the Vikings through thick and thin.

He was loyal to a lot of things he loved, and the one he was loyal to the most was his soulmate, Emberly. He loved her from the beginning to the end, and after 14 years of "dating," they went on to marry one another on December 20, 2013.

Shrim was a selfless individual regardless of the situation, and he saw humor any place he could—even his own, on occasion. He was a true optimist and saw the best in everything and everyone—including the Vikings. He has inspired numerous individuals to enjoy life and love selflessly.

Shrim was survived by his wife Emberly, his parents Phon and Tang, his brother Khunteung (Soom), his two sisters Ming and Cathryn, and many wonderful relatives and friends he cherished.

Shrim will be missed.

Visitation will be Friday from 4-7 pm at the Dingmann Funeral Home in Worthington. Funeral will be Saturday at 12 noon at the Dingmann Funeral Home, in Worthington, officiated by Rev. Todd Baumann & Buddist Priests. Burial will be in the Worthington Cemetery at a later date.
