SUSAN JANE WAHL, age 66, of Round Lake, died Sunday, May 12, 2013 at her home in Mesa, AZ. She was born June 29, 1946. Susan grew up on a farm in Siux Valley Township, rual Lakefield, with her parents Herman and Florence (Holm) Rol.  She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church at Round Lake. She attended the Sioux Valley School and graduated from there in 1964. Susan went on to attend Worthington Jr. College and Mankato State,before returning home and working at Sather's in Round Lake.
She married Carold Wahl, son of John and Opal (Hall) Wahl of rural Lakefield on December 2, 1967 at the Round Lake Presbyterian Church, and they moved to their farm in Round Lake Township.
After working at Sather's for five years, she and Carold decided she could be of more help on the farm, helping with the livestock and field work. She enjoyed driving the tractors and especially the combine, of which she was the main operator while Carold kept the grain hauled away. They retired from farming in 2003, but continued to live on the farm.
Susan enjoyed traveling, and after they purchased a home in Mesa, AZ, she would take several mini vacations each year and spend some time there. She enjoyed making crafts and for several  years would take her items to local craft shows. Reading and being on the computer were other favorite pastimes, especially the e-mails with many friends and family.
She is survived by her husband Carold, and many relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and Carold's parents.
Visitation will be from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday at the Dingmann Funeral Home in Worthington. Visitation will continue from 9:30  to 10:30 a.m. Monday at the Dingmann Funeral Home.
The Funeral Service will be Monday at 10:30 a.m. at the Dingmann Funeral Home in Worthington with Dr. Richard Paige officiating. Burial will be at Spirit Lake Memorial Gardens Cemetery, in Spirit Lake, IA.
