SUSIE RIEMERSMA, age 86, of Worthington, died Sunday, June 18, 2006 at the Worthington Regional Hospital. She was born December 4, 1919 in Rock Township Pipestone County, MN. She was the youngest of four daughters born to Ed and Nellie (Miedema) Kempema. Susie attended country school in District #7 in Rock Township. On July 9, 1940 Susie married John H. Riemersma near Woodstock, MN. They lived in Worthington for fourteen years and then moved to the Riemersma family farm near Harris, Iowa. In 1959, they returned to Worthington where Susie was involved in homemaking, babysitting and was also involved in Willing Workers, Fellowship Circle and Bible Study at the Christian Reformed Church. She later moved to the Heritage House in Windom and then moved to Crossroads Care Center in Worthington. Susie was a lifetime member of the Christian Reformed Church in Worthington. Susie is survived by sons, Daniel (Sheryl) Riemersma, Worthington; and James (Mary Ann) Riemersma, Wyoming, Michigan; six grandchildren and eight great grandchildren; brother-in-law, Donald (Annetta) Riemersma, Rochester, MN; sisters-in-law, Helen Vander Stoep, Rock Rapids, IA; Theresa Riemersma, Sioux Center, IA and Engelina Riemersma, Belflower, California. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband in 1999 and three sisters. Blessed Be Her Memory.
