SYLVIA IRENE JOANN SUURMEYER, age 76, of Worthington died Tuesday, March 19, 2013 at her home.  She was born on February 22, 1937 in Brookings, SD to parents, Ben and Mary Lousia (Fust) Suurmeyer.  She grew up in Tracy and attended public school.  Sylvia moved to Fulda in 1973 and lived in New Dawn until 1986.  She then moved into an apartment in Worthington and lived there until 1994. She then moved to CLA 1961. Sylvia was employed with The Achievment Center in Worthington.
She was a member of the American Lutheran Church in Worthington.  She enjoyed bowling, collecting dolls. Traveling, socializing with others and especially loved her dog and faithful companion "Sissy".  Sylvia was a very happy person and always had a smile on her face.  She was always concerned with the well-being of others and her favorite color was pink.  She will be missed.
Sylvia is survived by a cousin, Carlin Verreaux,  Linden, CA; her dog, "Sissy"; and her special friends, Karen Erickson, David Roeder and Charles Bisbee.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a step-mother, Aida (Loom) Suurmeyer and two brothers, her twin who died at birth and Eugene.
