TAMARA LYNN MEYER, age 51, of Melvin, IA formerly of Worthington, died Wednesday, March 5, 2014 at her home.  She was born in Marshall, MN to parents, Eugene and Janice (Roberts) Kanne.  The family moved to Fulda in 1970 and Tammy graduated from Fulda Public School in 1980.
She was united in marriage to Jeffrey Meyer on March 9, 1980. After their marriage they lived in Worthington. They later divorced.  In 2008, Tammy moved to Melvin, IA.  She worked as a waitress at the Windmill Café and later worked for the Blue Line Travel Center and the Worthington Country Club. Most recently Tammy was employed at Bedford Industries in Worthington.
Tammy was a member of the Westminster Presbyterian Church in Worthington.  She was a very talented artist and enjoyed painting and drawing. She recently started an art and craft business, This and That Creations, in Melvin, IA.  She also enjoyed collecting chicken figurines, playing Candy Crush, cooking and her biggest joy in her life was her two grandchildren. Tammy had a very bubbly personality and was always smiling and laughing. She had a quick sense of humor and was a joy to be around. She will be greatly missed.
She is survived by two children, Clint (Katie) Meyer, Worthington, MN; Justin "Willie" Meyer, Rice, MN; two grandchildren, Caleb and Evan, mother, Janice Bergjord, Fulda, MN; two brothers, Brian (Jo) Kanne, Rosemount, MN; Marc Bergjord (Don Mack), Britton, SD; two sisters, Jeanne Koopman (fiancé Drew Oakland), Fulda, MN; Susan Dykema, Worthington, MN, fiancé, Kevin Strenge, Melvin, IA; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her fathers, Eugene Kanne and Roger Bergjord.
