THELMA M. SHOWALTER, age 84, of Worthington, formerly of Wilmont, died Monday, September 17, 2007 at South Shore Care Center. She was born August 10, 1923 in Diamond Lake Township, Lincoln County, MN; to parents Peter and Ann Marie (Christenson) Meyer. She attended rural school in Lincoln County and after her schooling lived with her Aunt and Uncle. Thelma was united in marriage to Eldon Showalter on June 30, 1946 at Diamond Lake Lutheran Church in Lincoln County. They lived in Lake Benton until moving to Sioux Falls. Thelma later moved to Wilmont in 1991. She was an Avon sales representative for twenty-three years and also was a daycare provider. She became a resident of South Shore Care Center in December of 2006. Thelma was a lifetime member of the VFW Auxiliary. She enjoyed fishing, camping, and crocheting. Thelma is survived by her daughter, Sharon (Pat) Schettler, Wilmont; five grandchildren, Tim (Colleen) Schettler, Browerville, MN; Mark (Michele) Schettler, Lismore; Patrick (Sharon) Schettler, Eden Valley, MN; Michael (Toni) Schettler, Wilmont; Diana (Jeremy) Nelson, Reading and Mike Lange, Adrian; 14 great grandchildren, Trysten, Tasha, Tom, Samantha, Brad, Matthew, Megan, Zachary, Seth, Colin, Anthony, Evan, Lexie and Lauren and a brother Soren Meyer, Sioux Falls. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Eldon Showalter in 1983, one granddaughter, Tammy Lange in 1997 and a brother Stanley Meyer. Blessed Be Her Memory.
