THOMAS (TOM) JOHN HOFFMAN, age 83, died Saturday, March 19, 2011 at Apache Junction Health Care Center in Apache Junction, AZ. He was born on April 25, 1927 in Wilmont Township, MN to parents, Martin and Margaret (Mensen) Hoffman. He grew up on the family farm north of Wilmont and graduated from Worthington High School in 1945. He then attended Worthington Junior College for two years. Tom was united in marriage to Lorraine Hutt on June 21, 1949 at St. Kilian Catholic Church, rural Wilmont. After their marriage they continued to farm and live on the family farm. They retired from farming in 1989. Tom and Lorraine spent the last 25 winters in Apache Junction, AZ. He was a member of St. Kilian Catholic Church his entire life where he served as a lector. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, Catholic Aid Association, Pheasants Forever and Ducks Unlimited. He was an Archer Oil salesman for over 50 years. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, bowling, traveling, attending auctions, eating out, visiting with friends, and spending time with his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Tom passed away on Saturday, March 19, 2011 at the Apache Junction Health Care Center in Apache Junction, AZ. Surviving are his wife, Lorraine Hoffman, Wilmont, MN; four children, Yvonne (Donald) Sieve, Worthington, MN; Douglas (Judy) Gold Canyon, AZ; Barbara (Clyde) Smith of Wilmont, MN; Roger (and special friend Sandi) Avoca, MN; six grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Ray.
