THOMAS JOHN THILL, age 85, of Worthington, died Monday, September 3, 2012 at South Shore Care Center in Worthington. He was born November 15, 1926 on a farm near Woodstock and he was the son of Anton and Tillie (Hill) Thill. When he was a young boy he grew up in Wilmont until his family moved to Worthington.
Tom was married to Elizabeth (Betty) Thurston on June 27, 1947 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Worthington. He worked at Campbell's Soup Company until his retirement. After retirement he enjoyed helping out at BTU Heating & Cooling. In the winter they would go to Donna, Texas and enjoyed many good times with their friends down there. He loved trucking and loved to tell many stories about the places he went. In later years he enjoyed working in his wood shop doing many projects. He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, Worthington and served as a life time member of Knights of Columbus.
He is survived by his six children, Diane (Hardy) Boots, Worthington; Jim (Special Friend Renee Turbis) Thill, Worthington; Steve (Theresa) Thill, Worthington; Jean Duran, Cherokee, IA; Sheryl Meyeraan, North Port, FL and David (Deb) Thill, Byron, MN; eleven grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and four sisters, Anna White, Worthington; Catherine Metz, Worthington;  Betty  Gieser, Mankato.
